How we score
Every listed app gets an editorial overall score from 0 to 10. Sub-scores are editorial judgments by BestTrainingApps (SUUR LLC). They are labelled “editorial” on every listing. They are not lab tests, athlete surveys or vendor-paid ratings.
Overall score formula
overall = Σ (weight × sub-score), rounded to one decimal.
| Dimension | Weight | What we mean |
|---|---|---|
| Coaching quality | 30% | Depth of plans, periodisation credibility, sport coverage. |
| Adaptivity | 25% | How well the plan bends to missed sessions, recovery and availability. |
| Integrations | 20% | Watches, trainers, APIs and data platforms it talks to. |
| Value | 15% | What you get relative to published price (or free). |
| Ease of use | 10% | Setup friction, clarity of UX for a typical age-group athlete. |

Public facts vs editorial scores
- Public facts (pricing, free trial, platforms, sports, official URL) come from vendor pages or reputable secondary sources and are dated. Uncertain fields are marked.
- Editorial sub-scores are our judgment with a short rationale on each app page. They can change when products change.
- Lists with fewer than 5 apps stay out of search until they grow.
Money
- Some outbound links may become paid affiliate links later. They use
/go/<slug>/, are labelled, and never change scores or order. - Featured / sponsored slots (when sold) are labelled “AD · SPONSORED · not ranked” and sit after #2.
